Itinerary

Day 1: Arriving in Auckland (Chinese dinner or compensation for the dinner charges)

This afternoon, we will arrive in Auckland, which has city of sailing for its name . The tour guide will transit you to the hotel. Pick-ups are available twice a day:

  • First pickup at 1:30pm-2pm
  • Last pickup during 4:30pm-5pm
  • No morning pick-ups are available. For guests arriving after 5pm, please make your own way to the hotel.

Accommodation: 4* Auckland City Hotel or equivalent.

Day 2: Auckland – Waitomo – Taupo – Rotorua  (Hotel buffet breakfast / western lunch / mountaintop romantic landscape barbecue dinner)

We will be departing from Auckland taking a route towards the south of the city, travelling past the agricultural areas alongside Waitomo River. We will pay a visit to the glowworm caves formed by the change of soil over hundreds of thousands of years. By boat, you will enter the amazing “fluorescent world’ winding along the underground river and watch the scattered blueworms glow.

After lunch, we will head towards Lake Taupo, passing the Waikiki Power Plant, and then visiting the Huka Falls; if time allows, you could take a jet boat tour at your own expense. After Lake Taupo, we will head to Rotorua, the  gathering place of Maori people in North Island and visit the government gardens. In the evening, we will have dinner at the Aorangi Peak Restaurant, sitting on the highest point of the district 2000 feet above sea level and view the romantic scenery in the most classic New Zealand landscape.

Accommodation: 4* Millennium Hotel or equivalent.

Day 3: Rotorua – Auckland (Hotel Breakfast / Lakeland Queen Cruise Lunch / Chinese Dinner)

After enjoying a western-style buffet breakfast at the hotel, we will travel to Agrodome Farm, where there is sheep shearing, dog herding sheep, and a chance to nurse a lamb in your own arms. After your unique experience at the farm, we will then visit the Maori culture village which presents strong regional features, including Maori ethnic handicrafts and historical relics. Enjoy watching the spectacular geothermal fountains and mud pools. At noon, lunch will be served on the Lakeland Queen cruise, which is the the only cruise ship in this lake district and also the only visible scroll turbine propelled boat in the Southern Hemisphere. After lunch, we will visit Rainbow Springs Wildlife Park. We return to Auckland in the evening.

Accommodation: 4* Auckland City Hotel or equivalent.

Day 4: Auckland – Home (Hotel buffet breakfast / Chinese lunch)

After breakfast, we will visit the Auckland City, Harbour Bridge, Auckland Central Park and the Auckland Museum. You will be dropped off at the airport after lunch, ending your exciting in New Zealand!

Drop off at Auckland International Airport will be between 1:30pm-2pm; it is recommended to book an international flight after 4pm.
