  • Baroque Rome: This excursion is essential to complete your stay in Rome. You can enjoy the great Rome of Bernini and Borromini, the great baroque Rome with its beautiful fountains, squares and obelisks. That Rome that the Popes created. We will make a complete tour knowing: Lungotevere, Ara Pacis, Porta Pinciana, Via Veneto, Plaza de España with its wonderful fountain of the boat and its staircase Trinidad de los Montes, Fontana de Trevi where you can fulfill the rite of throwing your coin, Piazza Colona, Pantheon, possibly the best preserved archaeological temple of ancient Rome and we will finish in the extraordinary Piazza Navona. An important part of this excursion is done on foot enjoying the center and heart of Rome.

  • Vatican Museums: ADMISSION TO THE VATICAN MUSEUMS IS LIMITED. PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO TRAVELERS WHO HAVE MADE RESERVATIONS IN ADVANCE. We have organized a visit for the most interested passengers, accompanied by an expert guide in Fine Arts, we will visit the most important rooms of the Vatican Museums: gallery of tapestries, sculptures, paintings and other rooms in which we will have the opportunity to appreciate some of the most important works of art of classical and Renaissance antiquity. Our highlight will be the Sistine Chapel, dazzling after its brilliant restoration.   • Tuscan Dinner: On some trips we have several nights in the capital of Tuscany. In this opportunity, you will have the chance to make a magnificent dinner in a Tuscan atmosphere. A group of musicians will set this beautiful evening. We can taste the typical products of the region. Do you fancy an extraordinary Fiorentina steak? During dinner we can also enjoy live music, a pianist and singer from Fiorentino will perform national and international pieces of music.

  • Gondola Ride:Discover the romance of Venice. It may be the best way to get acquianted with the city.   • Louvre Museum: ADMISSION TO THE LOUVRE MUSEUM IS LIMITED. IF ALL TICKETS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO TRAVELERS WHO HAVE MADE RESERVATIONS IN ADVANCE. This museum, besides being the best-known gallery in the world, brings together admirable archaeological and sculptural works. Due to the large size of this museum, our guided tour allow yous to see some of the most important works. Our selective tour will take you from the Egyptian Sphinx and Greco-Roman sculptures, including the famous Venus del Milo, until you reach the Victory of Samothrace. It visits the summer apartments of Anne of Austria and Cardinal Mazarin. We also visit the western painting section, the Italian primitives, Cimabue and Giotto, followed by the Grande Galería where we see The Virgin of the Rocks by Leonardo da Vinci. Next, admire The Wedding of Cana by Veronese, the most famous painting of the La Gioconda museum. For this reason, we recommend that you purchase your tickets for this excurion in advance through MY TRIP before your arrival in Europe.

Day 1Australia – Rome

Take an international flight from Australia to Rome.
NOTE: Some flights may depart one day later, and may involve up to two transits.

Day 2Arrive Athens

In the morning, enjoy a panoramic tour of Athens with a local guide, including the Presidential Palace, the Panathenaic Stadium where the first modern Olympic Games were held, the national library, the bustling squares of the city centre, and the new neighbourhoods that emerged after the 2004 Olympic Games. The tour will end at the Acropolis (entry not included), followed by free time at leisure to walk around and discover more of unforgettable Athens.

Day 3Rome and Vatican City (B)

In the morning, we have a scenic tour of Rome – a great introduction to ‘The Eternal city’. We enter the tiny state of the Vatican. Vatican City is the world centre of Catholicism. You will be able to visit St. Peter’s Basilica. And we have also included admission to the Roman Colosseum, where gladiators battled wild animals and each other, for the entertainment of the people of Rome. This impressive construction dates back 2,000 years and will transport us in time so that we can learn about ancient society in the Roman Empire. In the evening we provide transport to the Via Cavour area, where you will find restaurants serving Italian, Indian, Chinese and other international food.

Day 4Rome – Florence (B)

Leave Rome, heading north to Florence on a route graced with beautiful landscapes. Upon arrival, head straight to Piazzale Michelangelo, an impressive site in the city. In the evening we provide a tour with a local expert, and walk through the historic centre, taking in places such as the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, and Piazza della Signoria. This city is truly an outdoor museum. Enjoy free time at leisure to explore and select a restaurant for dinner.

Day 5Florence – Venice (B)

Today we enjoy stunning mountain landscapes while crossing the Apennine Mountains. Arriving in Venice, board a Vaporetto to travel around the canals of the historic city centre. With a local guide, we will visit the marvellous Saint Mark’s Basilica (entry fee included). Afterwards, visit the Murano Glass Factory, to see the technique with which this ancient commodity is made. Enjoy the rest of the day with free time at leisure, and eat dinner in the Mestre district at a restaurant of your choice.

Day 6Venice – Verona – Zurich (B)

Depart from Venice, travelling to Verona, Romeo and Juliet’s city – the city of lovers!. We will provide a shuttle from parking to the historic city centre. Then, continue your journey through the mountains to Zurich. Free time in the historic centre next to Lake Zurich, where you will be able to dine in your chosen restaurant serving Italian, Indian, Chinese, international or Swiss food.

Day 7Zurich – Grindelwald – Lucerne – Zurich (B, L)

Today´s stage reveals beautiful landscapes, with high mountains and scenic lakes. Enjoy breathtaking scenery in the region of Interlaken. In Grindelwald, we will have time for a coffee before taking the cable car up to Grindelwald First (ticket included). Walk along the path (around 30 minutes) and take the ‘footbridge over the empty’ among fantastic scenery, with glaciers all around. Lunch is included (vegetarian option available). Then, continue to Lucerne, one of the most beautiful cities in Switzerland. Enjoy free time at the end of the day to stroll, enjoy the city, and dine before returning to the hotel in Zurich.

Day 8Zurich – Bern – Paris (B)

Embark on a scenic trip to Bern, capital city of the Swiss confederation. Built around a bend in the Aare River, with its medieval architecture preserved in the Old Town, Bern is a beautiful town to take a stroll in and breathe the fresh air. Next, we journey to France, enjoying beautiful lake views on our trip to Paris. Arrive in the evening.

Day 9Paris (B)

Today, enjoy a guided tour of Paris to discover the history, the main boulevards, and the breathtaking monuments of the City of Light, finishing at the Eiffel Tower. You will have the opportunity to climb up to the second floor of this remarkable metal monument. Note: Sometimes queues to climb the Eiffel Tower are long. If deemed appropriate, the climb may be made at a different time of day. End the tour with a boat cruise along the River Seine, which divides the north of Paris from the south. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore the city at your leisure. At sunset, transfer to the ‘Quartier Latin’, were you can select from a wide variety of international cuisines, before returning to the hotel.

Day 10Paris – Rouen (B)

Today, visit the centre of Paris, in the vicinity of the Louvre Museum, for free time at your leisure. If you wish we can accompany you to Benlux, one of the best-known perfumeries in Paris. At around 5:30 PM we will leave Paris for Rouen, a ‘museum city’ with its houses with half-timbered walls, narrow streets and gothic churches. Check into your hotel to rest.

Day 11Rouenis – Eperlecquesis – Canterburyis – London (B)

Depart for the north of France. In Eperlecques we visit a huge bunker in the middle of the forest. From here, Nazi V1 and V2 missiles were fired at the UK. Next, we take a ferry across the English Channel to Canterbury, which has a very attractive historic centre and cathedral. Continue to London, and transfer to Camden, a district famous for having one of the most varied and extravagant street markets in London. Enjoy dinner at one of the numerous and diverse restaurants.

Day 12London (B)

Get to know London on a guided tour that takes in the city’s style, culture and history. See the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames, the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace, where we should, depending on the season, be able to watch the famous changing of the guard. If you wish, you can go on an optional excursion to the London Eye ferris wheel. Late afternoon, after a period of free time, we invite all our travellers to a traditional English afternoon tea. In the evening, stroll through Leicester Square, Chinatown, and Soho, and enjoy the atmosphere of this theatre and entertainment district. Sit down for dinner at a restaurant of your choice.

Day 13Depart London (B)

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your return flight/s.

Day 14Arrive Australia

Arrive home today in Australia.
