DAY 1: MELBOURNE – DEVONPORT (Day Crossing)
Meet and Board the Spirit of Tasmania at Melbourne’s Station Pier 1/Floor at 07:00am (Terminal of number 109 tram line) for your departure. Enjoy a day relaxing cruise across Bass Strait. This sophisticated passenger ship encompasses all the finest traditions of modern cruise liners with an extensive choice of restaurants, bars, excellent service and diverse entertainment facilities. Upon arrival at Devonport at 6pm be met and transfer to hotel to check in.

DAY 2: DEVONPORT – CRADLE MOUNTAIN - LAUNCESTON
After breakfast commence city tour for sightseeing. Awaken your senses to the magnificent Splendour Cradle Mountain (own expenses). Go deep into the Tasmanian forest and experience the solitary wilderness of waterfalls, glacial lakes, rainforest, wildlife and unsurpassed of this World Heritage listed National Park. Thereafter, proceed to Launceston for city tour. Visit the Beautiful Cataract Gorge. This deep river gorge and natural amphitheatre is surrounded by lush green parkland and exotic gardens. (Opportunity to enjoy a chairlift ride on the longest single span chairlift in the world, own expense and weather dependent) Then transfer to accommodation.

DAY 3: LAUNCESTON – PORT ARTHUR - HOBART
After breakfast, head down to Hobart via free way. Visit the charming historic village of Richmond and see the country’s oldest Catholic Church and Bridge still in use. Browse among the many unique shops in this wonderful old stone village. Then travel to Port Arthur site, take the ‘Lottery of Life’, a unique way to learn about the life and times of former convicts. Take a guided tour through the chapel and penitentiary ruins for an insight into life what was once Australia’s largest penal settlement. Enjoy cruising mason Cove, resting place for 2000 convicts, guards and citizens. Later, follow the coastal road to Eaglehawk Neck, visiting the natural features of the Tasman Peninsula to view the stunning coastal scenery such as the Blowhole, Devil’s Kitchen and Tasman Arch. Thereafter proceed to hotel in Hobart.

DAY 4: HOBART – ROSS - DEVONPORT
After breakfast start the Hobart city tour, visit Mt. Nelson and the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens which has over 6500 species and varieties of plants, including the largest public conifer collection in the southern hemisphere. In the afternoon, visit historic Ross to view the beautiful Ross Bridge, Australia’s second oldest with its unique hand carved buttresses and the quaint heritage township. We also have the chance to visit cheese factory and chocolate factory along the highway. A good chance to bring some local products home. Thereafter we will proceed to Devonport for night cruise to Melbourne.
DAY 5: DEVONPORT - MELBOURNE
Arrive Melbourne in the morning, tour completed. Thank you for travel with Extragreen Holidays.
