ITINERARY:

DAY 1: ARRIVE BEIJING
Welcome to China ! On arrival in Beijing you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

DAY 2: BEIJING (B/L/D)
Morning tour of the Forbidden City . After lunch visit the Summer Palace , the former summer resort of past Chinese Emperors. This evening, you will be entertained by an exciting Chinese Acrobatic Show.

DAY 3: BEIJING (B/L/D)
Morning tour of the Temple of Heaven . Rest of day free for further exploration/shopping in this exciting city.

DAY 4: BEIJING (B/L/D)
In the morning, travel out to China ’s most famous icon, the Great Wall at Badaling. Have lunch at a local restaurant before visiting the Ming Dynasty Tombs and a cloisonné factory. For dinner, enjoy the world famous local specialty, Peking Duc

DAY 5: BEIJING/XIAN (B/L/D)
This day is free until your late afternoon transfer to board your flight.

DAY 6: XI'AN (B/L/D)
Today’s city tour includes a visit to the Bell and Drum Towers , the Moslem Quarter and the beautifully preserved City Wall.

DAY 7: XI'AN - CHONGQING (B/L/D)
Morning tour to the world famous Terracotta Warriors archaeological site. After lunch visit the Banpo Museum - located on the site of the 6000 year old Banpo Village .

DAY 8: XI'AN - WUHAN(B/L/D)
After breakfast, transfer to Xi’an Airport for your flight to Wuhan , where you will visit the imposing Yellow Crane Tower . In the afternoon travel to Yichang by coach. After dinner, board your luxury cruise boat and spend your first night aboard a sh

DAY 9: YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE (B/L/D)
The cruise on the Yangzte River commences - one of the world’s great river journeys. The boat leaves Yichang and travels upstream through the spectacularly changing scenery. Morning passage through the longest of the Three Gorges – the Xiling Gorge. In the afternoon, travel through the Wu Gorge. This evening’s entertainment includes a Welcome Party and Show hosted by your Cruise Captain.

DAY 10: YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE - YICHANG - WUHAN (B/L/D)
After breakfast, travel on longboats for a spectacular ride through the Lesser Three Gorges. In the afternoon enjoy the scenery of the Qutang Gorge.

DAY 11: YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE (B/L/D)
Morning excursion to the “ Ghost City ” of Fengdu, to visit the Mingshan Hill Temples. In the afternoon continue cruising upstream through the ever-changing landscape of the Middle Yangtze Region. This evening enjoy a Farewell Dinner hosted by your Cruise Captain.

DAY 12: CHINGQING - GUILIN(B/L/D)
Morning arrival in Chongqing . This morning’s city tour includes a visit to the Zoo (where you should be able to see the famous Chinese giant panda) and to the magnificent City Hall. After lunch, transfer to the airport for your flight to Guilin . On arrival, travel to the Reed Flute Caves , then to Fubo Hill on the western banks of the Li River, for scenic views of Guilin City and the surrounding countryside.

DAY 13: GUILAN - YANGSHOU - GUILIN (B/L/D)
After breakfast, board a cruise boat to journey down the spectacular Li River to the town of Yangshuo . After lunch, spend a little time exploring the streets of this small market town. Later in the afternoon, travel back to Guilin by coach.

DAY 14: GUILAN - SHANGHAI (B/L/D)
Morning transfer to Guilin Airport for your flight to Shanghai .

DAY 15: SHANGHAI (B/L/D)
Today’s city tour includes visits to the historic Bund, the famous Nanjing Road Shopping District and the Yu Gardens. After dinner, travel up to the viewing platform of the Oriental Pearl Tower for spectacular views of the city by night.

DAY 16: SHANGHAI - SUZHOU - SHANGHAI (B/L/D)
Travel to Suzhou , where you will visit to the classic Ming Dynasty style Humble Administrator’s Garden. Later visit a silk factory and Silk Embroidery Centre, where you will see skilled craftswomen at work on exquisite pieces of art. Return to Shanghai in the late afternoon.

DAY 17: DEPART SHANGHAI(B)
Day free, until you transfer to the airport for your return flights home.
