DAY 1: MELBOURNE - BEIJING (D)
Depart from Melbourne International Airport on Singapore Airlines flight to Beijing via Singapore. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day free, until your Welcome Dinner.

DAY 2: BEIJING (B/L/D)
Morning tour of the Forbidden City. After lunch visit the Summer Palace, the former summer resort of past Chinese Emperors. This evening you will be entertained by an exciting Chinese Acrobatic Show.

DAY 3: BEIJING (B/L/D)
Morning tour of the Temple of Heaven. Rest of day free for further exploration and/or shopping in this exciting city.

DAY 4: BEIJING (B/L/D)
In the morning, travel out to China’s most famous icon, the Great Wall at Badaling. Have lunch at a local restaurant, before visiting the Ming Dynasty Tombs and a cloisonne factory. For dinner, enjoy the world famous local speciality, Peking Duck.

DAY 5: BEIJING/XIAN (B/L/D)
Morning flight from Beijing to Xian. Upon arrival, tour includes visit to the Bell and Drum Towers, the Moslem Quarter and the beautifully preserved City Wall.

DAY 6: XI'AN (B/L/D)
Morning tour to the world famous Terracotta Warriors archaeological site. After lunch visit the Banpo Museum - located on the site of the 6000 year old Banpo Village.

DAY 7: XI'AN - CHONGQING (B/L/D)
After breakfast, transfer to Xi’an Airport for your flight to Chongqing, where you will visit the Zoo (where you may be fortunate enough to see the famous Chinese panda). After dinner, board your luxury cruise boat and spend your first night aboard ship.

DAY 8: YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE (B/L/D)
The cruise on the Yangzte River commences one of the world’s great river journeys. The boat leaves Yichang and travels upstream through the spectacularly changing scenery. Today’s passage passes through the three Gorges-The Wu Gorge followed by the Xiling Gorge. This evening’s entertainment includes a Welcome Party and Show hosted by your Cruise Captain.

DAY 9: YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE (B/L/D)
After breakfast, travel on longboats for a spectacular ride through the lesser Three Gorges, in the afternoon enjoy the scenery of the Qutang Gorge. Morning excursion to the “Ghost City” of Fengdu, to visit the Mingshan Hill Temples. In the afternoon continue cruising downstream through the ever changing landscape of the Middle Yangtze Region. This evening, enjoy a Farewell Dinner hosted by your Cruise Captain.

DAY 10: YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE - YICHANG - WUHAN (B/L/D)
Morning arrival into Yichang, visit the City Wall, then transfer to your hotel for your overnight stay.

DAY 11: WUHAN- GUILIN (B/L/D)
This morning visit to the Imposing Yellow Crane Tower. After lunch, transfer to Wuhan airport for your flight to Guilin. On arrival, travel to the dazzlingly beautiful Reed Flute Caves.

DAY 12: GUILIN - YANGSHUO - GUILIN (B/L/D)
After breakfast, board a cruise boat to journey down the spectacular Li River to the town of Yangshuo. During the cruise, you will pass by the beautifully shaped peaks that have been the inspiration for so many Chinese classical landscape artists. On arrival in Yangshuo, spend time exploring the streets of this small market town. Later in the afternoon, travel back to Guilin by coach to visit Fubo Hill on the western banks of the Li River, for scenic views of Guilin City and the surrounding countryside.

DAY 13: GUILIN - SHANGHAI (B/L/D)
Morning transfer to Guilin Airport for your flight to Shanghai.

DAY 14: SHANGHAI (B/L/D)
Today’s tour includes visits to the historic Bund, the famous Nanjing Road Shopping District and the Yu Gardens. After dinner, travel up to the viewing platform of the Oriental Pearl Tower for spectacular views of the city by night.

DAY 15: SHANGHAI - SINGAPORE - AUSTRALIA (B)
Day free, until your transfer to the airport for your return flights home.

DAY 16: AUSTRALIA
Morning arrive in Australia.
