DAY 1: 02 Apr 11 MELBOURNE - SINGAPORE – BEIJING (D)
Depart from Melbourne on SQ218 departing at 0105hrs to Singapore. Upon arrival at 0545hrs connect to SQ810 departing at 0845hrs to Beijing. On arrival at 1450hrs, you will be met and transferred to your 4 star hotel for your three nights stay. Rest of the day, free, until your welcome dinner.

DAY 2: 03 Apr 11 BEIJING (B/L/D)
Morning tour of the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. After lunch visit the Summer Palace, the former summer resort of past Chinese Emperors. This evening you will be entertained by an exciting Chinese Acrobatic Show.

DAY 3: 04 Apr 11 BEIJING (B/L/D)
Morning tour of the Temple of Heaven (one of China’s most beautiful architectural treasures), after lunch, visit the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games main Stadium, Bird’s Nest and National Aquatics Centre – Water Cube (an outside view for photo taking). After the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel. Rest of the day, free at leisure for further exploration or shopping in this exciting city.

DAY 4: 05 Apr 11 BEIJING (B/L/D)
In the morning, travel out to China’s most famous icon, the Great Wall at Badaling. Have lunch at a local restaurant, before visiting the Ming Dynasty Tombs and a cloisonné factory. For dinner, enjoy the world famous local specialty, Peking Duck.

DAY 5: 06 Apr 11 BEIJING - XIAN (B/L/D)
Morning flight from Beijing to Xian. Upon arrival, you will visit the Bell and Drum Tower, the Moslem Quarter and the beautifully preserved City Wall. After the tour you will be transferred to your 4 star hotel for your two nights stay. For dinner enjoy the world famous local speciality, Chinese Dumpling at one of Xian’s top restaurant.

DAY 6: 07 Apr 11 XIAN (B/L/D)
Morning tour to the world famous Terracotta Warriors archaeological site. After lunch visit the Banpo Museum - located on the site of the 6000 year old Banpo Village.

DAY 7: 08 Apr 11 XIAN - CHONGQING (B/L/D)
After breakfast, transfer to Xi’an Airport for your flight to Chongqing. On arrival, you will visit the Zoo (where you may be fortunate to see the famous Chinese panda). After dinner, board your luxury (4-star) Yangtze Boat Cruise and spend your first night aboard ship.

DAY 8: 09 Apr 11 YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE (B/L/D)
Morning excursion to the “Ghost City” of Fengdu, This evening’s entertainment includes a Welcome Party and Show hosted by your Cruise Captain.

DAY 9: 10 Apr 11 YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE (B/L/D)
Today’s passage passes through the three Gorges-The Wu Gorge followed by the Xiling Gorge. Excursion to Shennong Stream, in the afternoon enjoys the scenery of the Qutang Gorge. This evening, enjoy a Farewell Dinner hosted by your Cruise Captain.

DAY 10: 11 Apr 11 YICHANG- WUHAN (B/L/D)
Morning visit to the Three Gorge Dam site, then disembark at Yichang. Visit the City Wall, before transfer to your hotel for your overnight stay.

DAY 11: 12 Apr 11 WUHAN – GUILIN (B/L/D)
This morning visit the imposing Yellow Crane Tower. After lunch you will be transferred to Wulan Airport for your flight to Guilin. On arrival, travel to the beautiful Reed Flute Caves.

DAY 12:13 Apr 11 GUILIN–YANGSHUO (B/L/D)
After breakfast, board a cruise boat to journey down the spectacular Li River to the town of Yangshuo. During the cruise, you will pass by the beautifully shaped peaks that have been the inspiration for so many Chinese classical landscape artists. On arrival in Yangshuo, spend time exploring the streets of this small market town. Later in the afternoon, travel back to Guilin by coach to visit Fubo Hill on the western banks of the Li River, for scenic views of Guilin City and the surrounding countryside.

DAY 13: 14 Apr 11 GUILIN - SHANGHAI (B/L/D)
Morning transfer to Guilin Airport for your flight to Shanghai. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your 4 star hotel for your two nights stay.

DAY 14: 15 Apr 11 SHANGHAI (B/L/D)
Today’s sightseeing tour includes visits to the historic Bund (one of the world’s best preserved examples of Art-Deco architecture, the famous Nanjing Road Shopping District and the Yu Gardens. After Dinner, travel up to the viewing platform of the Oriental Pearl Tower. Before transfer back to your hotel, enjoy a cruise along the Huangpu River.

DAY 15: 16 Apr 11 SHANGHAI - AUSTRALIA (B)
Day free, until you are met and transferred to Shanghai Airport for your flight on SQ831 departing at 1430hrs to Singapore. On arrival at 1945hrs, connect to SQ227 departing at 2100hrs to Melbourne.

DAY 16: 17 Apr 11 MELBOURNE
Arrive in Melbourne at 0620hrs.
