DAY 1: ARRIVE BEIJING (D)
Arrive into Beijing. On arrival, be met by local guide and transferred to your 5 star Crowne Plaza Sun Palace Hotel or similar. Rest of the day free at leisure.
DAY 2: BEIJING (B/L/D)
Visit Tiananmen Square, the largest public plaza in the world and the Forbidden City where emperors once resided from the 15th to the early 20th century and now houses numerous priceless treasures. Visit the Coal Hill. In the afternoon explore the ancient residential area of old Beijing on a Hutong tour as you are escorted along its narrow alleys aboard a traditional pedicab. Take a leisure walk along the Shichahai Lake.
DAY 3: BEIJING (B/L/D)
Today we depart on an excursion to the Great Wall at Juyong Pass, one of the most impressive yet less-visited sections of the Great Wall. Away from the usual crowds that cluster at other sections of the wall, you will enjoy a richer experience as you walk atop this ancient fortification. Visit Changling of the Ming Tombs and the Sacred Way. Tonight enjoy the famous local specialty; the Beijing Roast Duck.
DAY 4: BEIJING (B/L/D)
Visit the Summer Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with the largest imperial garden in the world. En route stop to photograph the iconic “Bird’s Nest” and “Water Cube-National Aquatic Center” – host to many spectacular events during the 2008 Olympics. See the adorable pandas at Beijing Zoo. Free shopping at silk alley market.
DAY 5: BEIJING (B/L/D)
Morning visit to Lama Temple, the largest and best preserved monastery in Beijing. Continue walking along Chengxian Street, which started about 700 years ago with its structures built in line with ancient Chinese customs, once one of China's most important humanist centers - the Confucius Temple and Guozijian (Imperial College). In the afternoon enjoy an experience at Beijing Capital Museum. Free shopping at Yashow Market. Evening visit to the Place Sky Screen.
DAY 6: BEIJING (B)
Free day for your own exploration of the city.
DAY 7: BEIJING (B)
After breakfast be transferred to airport and depart Beijing.

Price is based on twin-share accommodation, single supplement AUD 699. Children under 12 years of age with bed $1199pp; without bed $899pp. Minimum 10 people to form a group with a tour group (depart any time). Price excludes international air tickets, airport and fuel surcharge, china visa fees, travel insurance and personal expenses.
Standard tipping of AUD 10/day/person. Minimum of two hours shopping each day and pax must be with the tour group during from Day 1 – 7. This package is applicable to Australian Passport holders & Australian Permanent Residents. This price is subject to change due to currency fluctuation and/or airfare. Payment by Visa/ Master card will incur 2%, Amex/ Diners card 3.5% surcharge. Air tickets must be purchased from any of the Extragreen Holidays’ offices.
